The most eagerly awaited event in Deepcut – Sausage Saturday (19th October 2013)

Heatherhurst Grange - Sausage Saturday - Oct 2013The sausages produced at Heatherhurst Grange have such a good reputation for being so incredible that at the last event held earlier this year Martin sold out from pre-orders alone. They sold out nearly as fast as the iPhone 5s.

In fact every product Martin produces always sells out like his Christmas Turkeys which are probably the most highly sought after locally produced commodity. Only last week I was asked by a member of the community when Martin will be taking pre-orders for his turkeys.

So I am delighted to announce to the community that the most eagerly awaited event in Deepcut “Sausage Saturday” will be on the 19th October at Heatherhurst Grange.

Martin will be firing up his BBQ and cooking his legendary sausages that have come from pure bred Middle White gilts lovingly reared at Heatherhurst Grange in Deepcut.

Martin has also extended his produce to include joints of Lamb which have been produced locally. These are also available for pre-order.

As this is Martins home, you cant just turn up to the event. You need to let him know you would like to visit. If you go to this web page you can get his email address.

If you do not want to be disappointed, might I strongly recommend you pre-order now. As I have already mentioned Martin will sell out before he opens his gates on the 19th October.

Check out this blog I wrote the very first time I had the pleasure of trying Heatherhurst Grange Sausages. I think you might then understand why these sausages are such a hit – My first taste of Heatherhurst Grange

Lightwater Fete 2013 – The Podcasts

Dan Martin & Dan Waite - Status Racing - CollingwoodTim Dodds, editor of the Lightwater Blog visits the Lightwater Fete and talks to Dan Martin & Dan Waite of Status Racing. This is an inspiring project run by students at Collingwood College for the Greenpower Challenge. The Status Racing Team will soon be taking part in a race at Dunsfold Park, the home of BBC’s Top Gear Program.

Many village Fete’s would not happen if it were not for volunteers so Tim speaks to Geoff Mitchell of Surrey Border Lions who play a significant part in the organisation of this and many other events in the community.
