Surrey Police is appealing for information following a burglary in West End and a linked attempted break-in at an address Godalming – which both took place in early hours of Monday, 24 August.
The burglary took place at an address in Gosden Road in West End shortly after 3am when the front door of a shop was forced open and cigarettes and other items were stolen.
Officers are particularly keen to speak to two men who were seen driving a people carrier style vehicle in the area around the time of the incident.
Police are linking the burglary to an attempted break-in at a garage in Ockford Road in Godalming shortly before 2am when a group of men unsuccessfully tried to force open a side door to gain entry to the building.
Following both offences Surrey Police officers have carried out house to house enquiries and are reviewing local CCTV footage.
Anyone who witnessed either incident or with any information about those responsible should call Surrey Police on 101, quoting reference 45150075618 for the West End burglary and 45150075609 for the Godalming attempted burglary.
