Members of the public visiting Surrey Heath Borough Council can soon access employment services when Jobcentre Plus moves to the council reception at Knoll Road, Camberley.
Front counter Jobcentre Plus services will relocate from their current site in London Road Camberley into the council offices at Surrey Heath House towards the end of October 2015.
To accommodate the move, minor refurbishments at Surrey Heath House will take place from the end of August until mid-October, with the reception remaining open during normal hours while work is completed.
Jobcentre Plus District Manager, John Bowdery, said: “The relocation of Camberley Jobcentre Plus represents a significant enhancement to the service we provide, combining multiple Government services in one location to improve the experience for service users. The move is designed to help ensure we will continue to deliver an efficient public service in Surrey Heath alongside our partners in local government.”
Executive portfolio holder for transformation at Surrey Heath Borough Council, Cllr Colin Dougan, said: “Sharing buildings with partner organisations is one of the initiatives being taken to make accessing public services more convenient while strengthening partnership working and reducing costs to the taxpayer.”
The JobCentre Plus service at Surrey Heath House will operate in line with its existing office opening times of: Monday and Friday: 9am-12.30pm and 1.30-4.30pm, Tuesday and Thursday: 9am-12.30pm and 1.30-5pm and Wednesday: 10am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-5pm.
