The Mytchett Community Centre was built 30 years ago and provides a valuable space for the community, hosting events, parties support groups, football pitches a social club and much more. It is completely self-funding and relies on membership fees, room hire fees and the money it raises through the events we hold during the year.
We are in the process of putting together the programme of events for 2015 and would love to hear people’s ideas and suggestions for events they would like to see. We have been collecting ideas on our Facebook page, and have had some great suggestions which we are already looking into, but we would love to hear more. One of the benefits of using Facebook is we are able to keep all the ideas in one place, and people can ‘like’ other people’s ideas which gives us an insight into how popular an event might be.
We already hold an annual beer festival, how could we make that even better? What could we do to make the family fun day even more fun? Could the firework display be even more spectacular?
What other events would you like to see? Some ideas so far are a farmers market, a pamper evening and even a sausage festival!
So please follow the link to our Facebook page and let us know if you have any ideas.
