Concern for missing Camberley man

Surrey Police is appealing for help from members of the public to help, locate a 61-year-old man who has gone missing from the Camberley area.

Anthony Dobson, who uses the name Guy, was last seen between two and four weeks ago. Surrey Police is growing concerned for his welfare due to the length of time he has not been seen by neighbours.

He is described as white with a ruddy complexion, 5ft 8” to 6ft tall and of a slim build. Mr Dobson has untidy straight shoulder length grey hair and a long grey beard.

Detective Inspector Matt Durkin of the Surrey Police Missing Persons Unit said: “No-one has seen or spoken to Mr Dobson for over four weeks and we are extremely concerned for his welfare as he has some health issues. Officers are carrying out numerous enquiries to locate him and I am appealing for anyone who has any information or knows the whereabouts of Mr Dobson to contact police as soon as possible. Similarly, I would ask Guy himself to contact us or the Missing People helpline to let us know he is safe and well.”

UPDATE 2nd September 2014:  A missing 61-year-old Camberley man has been found safe and well. Anthony Dobson, who uses the name Guy, was located last night (Monday, 1 September).

Officers would like to thank the public and media for their support in trying to find Mr Dobson.
